As a child Malcolm was forced to endure the violent murder of his Father by members of the Ku Klux Klan for his teachings of Black Nationalism. Police deem it a street car accident and his family is denied life insurance.

BEFORE the ASCENSION

  • BEFORE the NORTH STAR

Malcolm’s Mother becomes mentally ill and is sent to a mental institution. His family is broken up by the State and placed in various foster homes.

  • BEFORE becoming ETERNAL

Searching for his place in the harsh reality of a White Mans world, Malcolm turns to the enticing lifestyle of a street hustling criminal and becomes known as Detroit Red. At the age of 20, Malcolm is sentenced to ten years in prison for burglary.

  • ASCENSION

While in prisoned Malcolm’s siblings introduced him to teachings of The Nation of Islam. Its impact on him is so profound he’s compelled to reeducate himself on how to read & write, and joins the prison debate team to improve his oratory.

When Malcolm X was released from prison he immediately joined the Nation of Islam and dedicated his life to relentlessly educating Black people on the value of self worth.

His powerful speeches centered on liberating the mindset of Black People earned him National attention as a Black Empowerment Leader during the historic Civil Rights Movement.

NORTH STAR

Malcolm X’s impact and vision stretched beyond America and into the Pan Africanism movement of Africa. He openly planned to bring a case against America to the United Nation that would effectively escalate America's Civil Rights issue into an International Human Rights issue.

Tragically he was murdered by a member of the Nation of Islam before he could make his vision a reality.
